First Meeting

Hey everyone, I made this thread to discuss what we should do for our first meeting. I was thinking dinner then bowling (or vice versa). Does anyone have suggestions for locations for either of these?

For bowling, I've heard good things about 300.

For food, if we go to a chain, Cheesecake Factory is usually a safe bet. If we're feeling adventurous, we can just try some random place with good ratings on Yelp.

I haven't been in the area for all that long, so any other suggestions would be great.

Are we talking about tonight (5/16)? 300 and Cheesecake Factory sounds like a good combo. Has anyone been to Tied House? It is at San Pedro and Santa Clara, make great beers. Personally I am looking to just get out, so if anyone has a strong preference, I am there.

btw how do we invite people to directly to this meetup that aren't on Meetup.com?

Ok today didn't pan out, so I am planning to schedule a real-deal "Event" event two Fridays from now (May 30th).

However, if anyone wants to just do something informal tomorrow evening, Sunday, or after work next week, I'd more than likely be down for that. I'm in the same boat, I'm just trying to get out more. And I imagine Mike would be in since he initiated the e-mail conversation, so there's at least 3 of us.

I'm not sure how to invite people outside of Meetup.com so I would just send them the link directly to this group (http://intern.meetup....) and hope they make an account.
